A PHOTO THAT FITS YOUR FORM

How to compress an image to 100KB

Add your photo

Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image. The 100KB limit and JPG output are already selected.

Prepare and inspect

Choose Prepare images. Check the result’s file size and dimensions, then download it.

What does a 100KB limit mean?

This tool treats 100KB as 100,000 bytes. An upload form may also restrict pixel dimensions or accepted formats, so check all its requirements before preparing your image.

Choose the right format

JPG is a useful starting point for photos. WebP can produce a smaller result, but only use it if your destination accepts WebP files. PNG preserves transparency; it can be harder to fit beneath a small size limit because this tool does not reduce PNG quality.

Keep required dimensions

If your form specifies 600 × 600 pixels, enter both dimensions before preparing. Crop to fill produces a square by trimming the edges; Fit entire image keeps the whole photo and adds white space. Exact dimensions are kept even when a file cannot meet the size cap.

When the image is still too large

Without exact dimensions, the tool can reduce width and height to help meet the limit. If dimensions must stay fixed, try JPG or WebP, if accepted. A result that cannot fit is marked with an error rather than offered as a ready download. Keep your original and check that important details remain readable.

Need a different cap? Use the 50KB or 200KB buttons, or enter a custom limit. For a dimensions-only task, try the image resizer.

Questions about this tool

Can I compress a PNG below 100KB?

Sometimes. PNG output does not have adjustable lossy quality in this tool. Large or detailed PNGs may need smaller dimensions or conversion to JPG or WebP. JPG replaces transparent areas with white.

Can every image fit below 100KB at its original dimensions?

No. Detail, format and required dimensions affect the result. The tool reports when it cannot meet your limit. Smaller dimensions or an accepted alternative format may help.

Does compression affect quality?

It can. JPG and WebP exports may reduce quality to meet the limit. Inspect text, faces and fine details in the downloaded image. Your original file is not overwritten.

Can I prepare several photos at once?

Yes. Select up to 20 images, each up to 30 MB. Every file is processed separately and shows its own result. Download ready images individually or in a ZIP.
